Hawaiian gallinule (`alae `ula in Hawaiian; Gallinula chloropus sandvicensis), or Hawaiian moorhen, photographed at Kawainui Marsh, on the island of Oahu.  This is an endangered endemic Hawaiian bird, with perhaps only 300 birds remaining.
